Bob: Thanks for your views. I hadn't seen Adaptec's review of Ultra DMA and found your first-hand experience useful to know. I have three home computers and only my P-Pro 200 WinNT40 has an Adaptec card. My UMAX scanner connected to this (P-II 266) came with a generic SCSI card. The home market is satisfied with a fairly good processor, a fast modem, and a nice monitor. Agree it is not Adaptec's main market. Be nice if Adaptec could figure a way to get into that market, though. Starowl
