I'll believe anything if it involves ICN. This company is a soap opera. I bought my first shares the day before sanctions were placed on Yugoslavia, so I've nearly had my fill of this one. I haven't quite been able to pull the trigger on the shares that I still own because of the tremendous potential which the company has in Eastern Europe, and because its current p/e of 11-12 is very low compared with the industry average of 19-20. I'd like to see a buyout, though I haven't heard rumors recently. I've been voting against board members quite frequently, which is something I almost never do with my other holdings. The tax loss carryforward runs out this year or next, I think, so that's probably not a factor. Final note: in spite of the soap opera, the company manages some parts of its business quite well.
