Well howdy Pilgrim (defn: one who makes the journey from distant thread), If you're asking my opinion on the semiconducter industry, I'm willing to offer an opinion. Heck, even if you're not asking... Overcapacity is the big concern. The industry has been wildly profitable in recent years. Margins ran in what, 40-50% range for years? Hordes of PhD's with some venture capital are pulled in like moths to a light. The result is an industry that needs to consolidate. Its uncanny how a hot sector will soar for about 3 years and then drift for 12 to 24 months. Or I could be wrong. I've stil got my GTC for INTC in at 43 1/2. One thing I like about the market is that its not you vs. me. We can invest in separate industries and both profit. Regards, TBG Paul
