Thursday Schedule: Metric Tour
Howdy All! I decided that the advantages of a bus (safety in group
movement) outweighed the disadvantage (less freedom of movement) and
have contracted for a bus for the METRIC TOUR GROUP ONLY for Thursday.
So here is the schedule for Metric Tour Group:
- - 0830 Depart Hampton Inn South
0830 - 0930 Travel to DELL Headquarters in Round Rock; look at
grounds, picture-taking, (I will try to schedule a
facilities briefing by a DELL representative).
0930 - 0945 Travel to and look at new Parmer Lane facility.
0945 - 1000 Travel to Dell Factory Outlet, HWY 183 and Peyton Gin Rd
1000 - 1045 Visit and shop at Dell Factory Outlet
1045 - 1100 Travel to Lunch (Trudy's on Burnet road in Crossroads
Center
1100 - 1200 Lunch at Trudy's. (other restaurants are located in area)
1200 - 1215 Travel to Metric 12 Facility
1215 - 1230 Sign in at Metric 12 Facility
1230 - 1400 Tour of Metric 12 Facility in groups of 10
1400 - 1430 Q & A period moderated by Mr. Robert Williams or other
DELL spokesman
1430 - 1500 Travel to Davenport Center
1500 - 1530 Visit Susan Dell's shop.
1530 - 1600 Return to Hotel
Note 1. Bus tour should cost about $20.
Note 2. Schedule has some flex time built in to allow longer (or
shorter) times for scheduled activities. It's your tour, so
other than the scheduled facility tour, times are flexible.
Note 3. Anyone scheduled for the Metric Tour, but who does NOT wish
to take the bus, is free to decline. However, you MUST be at
Metric 12 and signed in prior to 1230 on Thursday to take tour.
Note 4. I did NOT engage a bus for the Parmer North Facility tour
because most of those participants are familiar with Austin.
