Please note that AV has already gone through one change of ownership ie. digital to compaq and that didn't impact DCLK arrangement with AV. Like I have said before, you should try getting in touch with the PR firm representing DCLk (check my post from June 24,99) regarding how they feel about the CMGI/CPQ deal. The main thing is until something officially is announce DCLK can't comment or react to that. The guy and the PR firm had mentioned to me that DCLK will definitely release something to calm down the invertors fears since these fears do not have any basis.

If you go the DCLK's website and pull the contract extension, it clearly states that it is binding. the IR at DCLK mentioned to me that Their Legal department had looked into this aspect already and are very comfortable with the arrangement.. They said given the dynamics if internet industry they had to put a contract that will protect their long term interest and hence the clause.

I just wish that monday we should hear something from CMGI/CPQ and all the speculation will be put to rest for good.

Regards,

PS: IF CMGI is already going to pay a high price for AV and given the competitive landscape, will it be wise for them to terminate this contract by paying a large amount of termination fee. Keep in mind with DCLK they are working with segment leader and others are still trying to establish themselves and hence not sure hit here !!!! personally I think that may not fly very well with the CMGI folks.

Also with recent merger DCLK has announced, they have just re-inforced their leadership in the industry.

Regards,
