Teng Construction Receives 4 Additional Orders to Protect US Federal Buildings Using ALYA Technology
Austin, TX - June 30, 1999 - ALYA International, Inc. (OTC/BB: ALYA) announced today that Teng Construction LLC ("Teng") of Chicago, Illinois has received 4 additional purchase orders to install ALYA's OPENcentrix Advanced Security Management System into US Federal Buildings.
The new orders include the J.C. Kluczynski Federal Building, the R. H. Metcalfe Federal Building, Customs House and a Federal parking garage. All of these buildings are in Chicago and will be centrally controlled and monitored from the Federal Building Command Center at 536 S. Clark Street.
"The Intelligent Building Concept has become reality," said John Huston P.Eng., Systems Integration Project Manager of Teng Construction, L.L.C. "ALYA's OPENcentrix access control system provides the control and monitoring features required for multiple site, highly populated, high security Federal facilities at a competitive price. The system is based on LonWorks open control technology for complete interoperability," said Mr. Huston. "We selected ALYA based on features, expandability, price, integration and the fact that it is a natural extension of the LonMark building automation systems (HVAC and lighting) installed in the E. M. Dirksen and J. C. Kluczynski Federal Buildings. Through the GSA's (Government Services Administration's) adoption of LonMark open control systems they have competitively bid and successfully completed numerous multiphase, multi-contractor projects."
Teng presently has the country's leading Open Control System Integration training facility, located in Chicago. Teng and ALYA have agreed to expand Teng's facility to incorporate ALYA's OPENcentrix access control systems and satisfy the need for a centrally located, US-based training facility for ALYA's products to augment the Company's training facility in the Pacific Northwest. Teng's training class offerings will be expanded to include one, three and five day OPENcentrix courses covering an introduction to interoperable access controls, installation, commissioning, monitoring and systems integration.
