Tom...thanks for the clarity on jbl and lu...you partially answered the ?...but before i embarrack on working up a msft and then buying it at current $ level, is this a acceptable method to begin a aim position that one plans to stay with for the long haul?? i bought csco in 1991 and when it doubled, thought it was a smart move to take the profit and run...but since everytime i have studied it always seems to pricey for me...boy has that been a missssstake...what im asking and feel free to decline, can one ignore current $ in a good stock and make your first position to get the ball rolling or is it better to go the route of Jeff and look at those near the 52 wk lows...problem i have with bottom fishing is just where is the bottom...i find bottom fishing one of the more difficult strategies to make profitable...it could and has turned into 0 for me ....thanks as ever...bj
