Even though you note that part of the cash will be used to cover in the hole they had dug themselves (taking out loans, stretching out accounts payable), there's not necessarily any reason that they won't be able to do the same thing again.

So if you want to construct a "cash death clock", don't assume that it's game over as soon as the cash is gone. They will have every reason to seek out whatever loans they can, delay paying vendors as long as possible, etc.
