jhild, I'm ashamed of you... you know better than that!!!
Maybe that's because Track Data Corporation doesn't trade securities. Note they are not registered with the NASDR. This would make it more challenging to become registered for trading securities in the various states I would wager.
Don't mislead people... Of course Track Data Corporation trades securities.
Track Data Announces Free Trading On Fridays in July
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 22, 1999--Track Data Corporation announced today that it has ended the ramp-up phase for its online trading system.
The Company previously announced that it would open trading accounts on a staggered basis to insure a high level of performance. It is now ready to open new trading accounts as applications are submitted. A special offer for all trading accounts opened before July 1 includes commission-FREE trading on each of the five Fridays in July, as well as free streaming real-time market data for the month of July. For more information, visit our website at mytrack.com.
Barry Hertz, Chairman and CEO, said, "We are pleased with the results of our ramp-up phase and are ready to fully open our trading system. We believe our system is unique and provides online traders with a constant connection that is similar to those used by professionals. Website-based systems offered by our competitors can not provide the fast response necessary for the sophisticated trader. In recognition of this milestone, we have extended a special offer for all new accounts opened before July 1."
To open a trading account, users should download the myTrack software from mytrack.com and click on the "myTrade" feature.
myTrack is a fully integrated Internet-based market data and online trading system. Trading is offered at prices starting at $12.95 per trade. myTrack is delivered over the Internet powered by application-based software and a constant server connection similar to systems used by professionals, as compared to most of its competitors that provide their service over HTML website-based static pages. myTrack delivers free streaming delayed quotes and unlimited free real-time extended quotes, as well as breaking company news, a trade by trade log, charting for technical analysis and a proprietary library of intraday market statistics.
Track Data (Nasdaq-NMS:TRAC) provides real-time financial market data, news, fundamental research, charting and analytical services to institutional and individual investors through dedicated telecommunication lines and the Internet. The Company recently began to offer online trading through its myTrack Internet-based personal investment service. myTrack is an Internet-based software application that is not restricted by the limitations of an HTML website-based static system offered by virtually all of its well-known competitors. myTrack delivers a continuous dynamic stream of live market data and investors' real-time online trading activity. The system is always connected and is an order of magnitude faster than competing website-based systems. Download myTrack software at mytrack.com or call 1.800.myTrack.
