The Lydstrom Multi-CD player will only provide data (music) to the port (or selected port)...

The format will be Selected from the Lydstrom unit.

The device connected to the port can be a Super MP99 Player, MP3 player, Lucent/EPAC/eDig player, or any player available.

The device connected to the port must be able to handle the data (in any way it can... MicroOS or NO MicroOS) to record it on IT's MEDIA.

Now, if you attempted to feed Super MP99 data to a MP3 player, that's your problem... It won't work!

The device connected to the port must, of course, be prepared to download data, whether it be from a PC, the Internet, PC, or whatever.
The handshaking control will have to be adhered to, whatever the device... Very much like two modems decide how to talk to each other.

The Lydstrom unit doesn't care about what's plugged-in to the port!

It is really very simple (when you take the time to think about it).

The Lydstrom unit sounds like it will be the first to really handle multi-formats allowing the output, of same, to other devices.

I suspect that Sony will be right on their coat-tails with a better unit... With more features.

Now, I don't know this for a fact... BUT it's a damn good guess!

Just my opinion... Don't sweat it! Don't Worry... Be Happy!
