I.V.T. CORP. Corporation today announced shipment of INSIGHT, a software development toolkit providing 32-bit interactive voice response (IVR) capabilities for the Windows NT platform (complete the a GUI interface)..
INSIGHT is the latest version of open, IVR tools from I.V.T. CORP.. Interactive voice response (IVR) applications enable callers to query and modify database information over their Touch-Tone telephone. Callers use their Touch-Tone pad to input requests, such as ordering a product, obtaining a work schedule, or requesting account balance information, and the database "speaks" information back to the caller. IVR offers customers and businesses a new level of freedom by enabling them to conduct transactions 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Businesses of all sizes are realizing the tremendous benefits of IVR applications for their call processing and information delivery needs, INSIGHT represents the next generation of IVR tools, which utilize open development languages and powerful platforms such as Windows NT. The introduction of
INSIGHT also demonstrates our continued commitment to deliver the most affordable, easy-to-use IVR tools to our customers and resellers.
New Features and Functions:
INSIGHT provides several new features and functions over earlier versions of INSIGHT. These include:
1. Windows NT based. INSIGHT fully supports the Windows NT platform, a powerful, reliable operating environment that allows for more advanced IVR applications.
2. MICROSOFT NT based IVR system (with built in application generator) has now been updated to incorporate an INTERNET ACCESS TOOL (which can be connected to the IVR SYSTEM, or run standalone), with a Graphical User Interface.
This powerful application when combined with the IVR SYSTEM OR STANDALONE allows a company to utilize both the touch tone phone and the Internet as a way for customers to communicate with them and retrieve information.
The same server being used for the IVR SYSTEM can now be used for INTERNET access on the same platform.
Example of a Call
In a normal IVR call the system responds with voice prompts, and by entering information with telephone keypad, the IVR system will respond with recorded speech, or send a fax.
With the INTERNET access for the IVR system, you "DIAL" the system by clicking on a hypertext link for your browser. The system responds the same way except in text form and not the normal voice prompt. You can enter selections and get information by clicking on icons or choosing items from menus.
Some of the applications available are: order processing and transactions, database integration, questions and queries, account status, delivery information, fund's transfer, claims information and many more. I.V.S., CORP. plans to offer a series of pre-packaged applications addressing different industries.
3. Caller ID and DNIS Support. By supporting caller identification and DNIS on all incoming calls, INSIGHT enables the IVR system to intelligently recognize and direct callers to the appropriate person or department, and allows the IVR system to provide the most accurate and up-to-date information to the caller, saving time and expense on each call.
4. Additional Development Language Support and database. While continuing to support Microsoft's Visual Basic and Visual FoxPro, INSIGHT now also supports Access, C++, Delphi and other development environments, while having complete ODBC, Oracle, Sybase, Btrieve database emulation (including SQL functions).
INSIGHT Features:
INSIGHT Software Development Kit includes object linking and embedding (OLE) controls to add telephone functions to database applications. The also includes the INSIGHT Server.
I.V.T. CORP., offer's software for full-featured Windows sound capture and editing that enables IVR applications to "speak" database information. INSIGHT also includes over 500- built-in voice prompts, enabling developers to quickly and easily incorporate telephony into their database applications.
