VTPI started @.10 today now @.12 WALL ST WHISPERS Friday, June 27 [Meyer Group, Ed Meyer] Visual Telephone International, Inc (VTPI) 0.08 bid, 0.1 ask, traded on the NASDAQ Bulletin Board. We have heard that VTPI has been contacted by several larger venture capital firms as well as investment bankers who have shown a keen interest in stepping in. As announced on Tuesday, VTPI has been invited to participate and demonstrate their Visual-1000 PC based desktop video conference system at the International Teleconference Association (ITCA) Exposition Jun 30, Jul 1 & Jul 2, at the Sheraton Washington Hotel in Washington DC. VTPI will participate in interoperability test with Compunetix Inc, Monroeville PA, manufacturer of large scale, standard based Multimedia Conferencing Units. This provides VTPI with the ability to demonstrate its product and offers potential buyers the opportunity to compare and evaluate different systems side-by-side. Compunetix manufactures the award winning Contex/Orchestrator systems and is a subsidiary of Compunetics Inc, a pioneer in advanced communication systems. VTPI manufactures the Visual-1000 series, a fully integrated PC based video-conference package which features H320 standards compliance with direct ISDN connectivity to the public switched network. VTPI also offers its 2000 series, based on the same platform to provide simultaneous dual display of full frame video presence and graphics in a portable package. We think there might be a whole lot of excitement around VTPI's booth on Monday, as rumors abound. We also believe that there may be a 300,000 share short as a result of Thursday's huge volume. | ||||||||||||||
