This story has been in the Toronto papers this week.

Evidently, this 30 year old woman was being 'pestered' by a group of seven men when she was taking her washing to the laundry. What's unusual about this is that instead of cowering, she confronted them and kicked the ringleader in the nuts. Being persistent, he broke a bottle to create a weapon and was going to 'even the score' when his friends restrained him and prevented what could have been a bloody altercation. Later that day, the young man and his mother, yes, his mother began 'picketing' in front of the lady's house shouting threats. The police arrived and promptly charged the woman with assault. No charges are being levied against 'bottle boy', his mother, or any of the other six men involved.

Unfortunately, the young woman was wearing sandals. Too bad she wasn't wearing steel-toed cowboy boots.

Ya gotta admire her courage.

Cheers, PW.

P.S. At first I didn't believe I've read the story correctly, but I did. I was amazed at first, but now I'm mad as hell. This woman deserves a reward. If more 'pests' met the same fate, we'd have less of this kind of shit every time we walk alone.
