This site struck me as the place to get two Technical questions answered, authoritatively.

1. An engineer term for where the present bits went when new bits were loaded into RAM, was the bit bucket. Is there a similar term for where websites go when I download a new site?

2. When I speak of my monitor, keyboard, mouse, even drives or modem, Most everyone knows what I mean. But I can't find a common, let be a universal, name for that thing: all the stuff surrounded by the case, inclusive.
