Warning: not funny, this isn't a joke. An neither was the UPCA post. I saw a different post and checked it out. UPCA is a "diversified holding company." Yes, it's mostly car dealerships, but they are also the majority shareholder of NTC -- an AIDS research company. Here's the PR from this morning about a follow-up on an announcement made earlier: biz.yahoo.com I don't know much about HIV vaccines, but I know enough to say that 18 months doesn't prove this is a cure. However, the fact that this "Plasma Plus" (I know, an unfortunate name) produced these results in 100% of the patients is interesting. The stock may be $2 now ($1.75, actually), but it was around 75 cents on Thursday. Hype? Very possibly, but I wouldn't discount it without a little DD. Now, back to the jokes.
