Yes and no. One must remember that virtually everything in networking hardware is proprietary to some extent.

As to BT it does operate according to the accepted standards when used as a data-only RAS, also when used for DSVD functions but in order to utilize it's true capabilities you must be using BT clients (hardware cards or soon to release software version) in your remote desktop or laptop PC.
