I'm intersted that you think the CDs or megno-optics are the wave of the future. Its hard to imagine that 100M will not be sufficient for most data transfer tasks that a removable storage is needed for. Heck, for most things the 1.4 MB are still OK. The only problem with the zips, in my oppinion, is they cost =$20. THis is a little high for a disposable/transportable/misplacable kind of thing. The price of the diskettes will have to drop to a few dollars to make it really available and interesting to the masses of computer users.

I might be confirming your oppinion. CD roms are already just a few $ each and most computers have a CD reader already. It would be a rather simple thing to make it a read or write device as the CD recorders get cheeper. OK you are probably correct-- Zips aren't here to stay-- I think they have a few good years left though. Paul
