THE IOM -- JOEL STERNBERG STORY

Since there will be no trading this Friday and since a lot of us are charged up by the IOM rally this week, this special thread has been created. It belongs to everyone, especially those who have followed the 'Any infos about Iomega? Share price too high?' thread since that fateful day back on December 12, 1997. In this thread we hope to collect the wisdom and warnings of the myth of Joel Sternberg -- to be used as an instrument of learning. Through 1055 posts in just over three months he has left us a lot of material and is probably working his way toward a case of Carpal Tunnel Syndrom.

Please feel free to repost some of his brightest forebodings. For example, who can still remember Classic Joel #1:

Aren't you happy enough spinning your nonsense in fool-land? Doesn't
AOL provide you with that happy sense of (censored) community in which
you thrive? Anyway, don't expect everyone here to be stupid-fied over
Iomega. This is not AOL.Anyway, please do not take this as a flame, only a warning should you contemplate posting any of your suspect
earnings projections on Iomega.

Or even better, Classic Joel #4:

OK, you have egged me on. The warning was that if you post nonsense
in which you project IOM earnings out of your butt, you will be taken to task. There is no spirit man here to protect you. I am not an AOL
member, but I have heard that if someone does not tow the line on
Iomega in fooldom, they are visited by the "spirit man." That is
censorship! You can say anything you want to here, but prepare
yourself for the ramifications-i.e. uncensored rebuttal. Is that
simple enough for you?

-----
P.S. I apologize to anyone who is offend by this thread, but please understand, there is a big empty bottle of sake in front of me. Cheers ;-)
