bucolic is an apt description, John ...... beans, wheat, and maize, with some corn are the staple crops planted here..... cotton was king during my youth (bout the time of the BoerWar ...ggg) but the past 25 years has faded out .... only have two gins in the county now and I can remember having my trucks selling candy and tobacco calling on as many as thirty, or maybe more, in the long ago.....
