Possibly, yes. If the company is now confident that the software client version of their remote access technology has passed beta testing it would allow an ISP to offer their customers a full-function phone line which would work simultaneously while they were using the internet - in other words if you're busy surfing and someone tries to call you it will ring on your computer. You can answer the call and talk without interrupting your internet session. It would also work the other way allowing you to make a call without logging off the 'net.

While this capability is pretty much the same you'd get with ADSL-lite it operates over your present dial-tone line without requiring the higher line and ISP fees inherent to an ADSL line. You also wouldn't have to pay for installation nor be excluded if you lived in an area where ADSL was not yet offered or is unavailable due to poor lines or loading coils being present that can't be removed.

We know they're up to something as these domains were recently registered to the company: onephoneline.com & onephoneline.net Both are currently restricted entry but for a while a software glitch was occasionally allowing us to see inside.
