First there is software and then there is SOFTWARE. Upgrading PC's and the like should be a one time expense and written off as such. Installation of "software systems" (i.e. inventory control, product tracking, etc.) I think should be prorated over the life of the software (3-4 years). I doubt this has a significant impact they are talking about. You don't spend 1MM on an inventory system unless it makes sense because you are expecting a payback in a few years of operation and you certainly don't buy a 1MM system if that is a very large fraction of your eps. ---- Dave
