t.v.---my day is being spent cleaning up the new bbq for the labor day event here at casa de socal. btw, all AIM bb's are welcomed to attend, however anyone from dairyland, must bring me fresh brats.
don't know if the craze has hit the midwest yet, but out here in la-la land, gas bbq "structures" are the latest happening. it's not the size of your car (large) or the size of your cell phone (small) that matters anymore. it's btu city and i've got 72, 000 of them puppies ready to roar through my new LYNX 36" grill and matching side burner. electric rotisserie of course, high gloss stainless steel with seamed borders.
next to the grill is 30x30 countertop sittting over the refrigerator. down on the other end is my favorite, the "cocktail pro." double sink, faucet, front bottle holder, mounted can opener. attached it to the side of the house where the gas line came out and it's kind of a crooked "l" that extends out 14-15'.
from what i've been reading, there are some "u" shaped, 200+ square foot structures that are topping out at about $40K. way over my budget, but i still spent more money on something to cook outdoors with that ran into 5 figures compared to my first bbq that i would guess cost about $9.99.
ah, the excesses of the good life.
