I heard this one a little differently, as a European football joke.
Gianni Gianninni, the greatest goalkeeper in the Italian league, is walking down the street, and sees a burning building. There's a woman leaning out of a 4th floor window, holding a baby. He runs over, shouting "drop the baby, drop the baby". She shouts back "no, you won't catch him". Furious, he screams at her "I am Gianni Gianninni, the greatest goalkeeper in the Italian League, I can catch anything!!"
So she tosses the baby, but the wind drives the baby across the road. As the crowd gasps, Gianni leaps across the street, arms outstretched, scoops the baby in without a scratch, leaps to his feet....
... and dropkicks the baby 70 yards down the street. |
