Hi,
Tom's answer was almost right on. You have to be on the phone to ProFunds by 3:45 ET. Yesterday when I placed my order I only had to wait for 2 rings, no holding time at all, and of course no transaction charges or commissions.
If you are put on hold and you connected before 3:45 ET you will hear a message telling you that you are qualified for today's closing price. I have never had to wait more than 2 or 3 minutes at the longest. So far dealing with ProFunds has been very satisfactory. Using Waterhouse, my transaction fees for the fund would be $25 for each transaction. On a $1200 order that would be 2% which is more than what Profunds charges for their expense ratio. I've heard that Fidelity charges $75 which I have never verified.
Any redemptions of any of the Profunds are automatically transferred to a money market which pays about 4.5%
Hope this helps.
Bernie
