Since we don't have an "ignore" button, refusing to respond to the offensive posts is the next best thing.
Have you noticed that for some people "facts" are defined as "that which is found on the internet"? Meaning that anything that cannot be linked to is not a fact, AND if it is on the internet it is a fact.
I would think that believing such a thing would qualify one as suffering from some kind of disorder.
The next step toward full blown bonkers status is to then pick and choose between which things found on the internet one wishes to elevate to the status of ultimate truth, and in the process choose only those things which support one's position.
I still think a study of the archives of this thread, the RB thread and the yahoo thread are going to be the basis of a dissertation one day identifying several new psychological disorders all related to obsessions over one's fantasies as expressed on message boards.
Those already immoratlized as kings, queens and gods will no doubt be surprised to find themselves lumped in with the other insane people running loose. I can't wait to read that paper.
Or write it, whichever comes first.
