Don't shorts have to short on an "uptick"? Haven't too many upticks today. geocities.com This site shows the short interest trend for Nasdaq stocks. MXWL only had a short interest of around 75,000 at the end of August. I can't imagine a couple million shares being available to be borrowed for short selling. JMHO.
