Hear Ye... Hear Ye!!! The window is now open to enter the SS&R early fall of '99 S&P futures trading contest. First prize will be a 3 night stay at a fantastic Hotel Resort in Magnificent Myrtle Beach, SC between 11/5 and 2/25 (Special Holidays and a few other weekends excluded). The winner will be responsible for their own transportation.
Rules will be the same as the last contest managed by the venerable Scotty "paper towels" Edwards except for that trades will be limited to 4 buys and sells per day per contestant, and trading hours will be from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. E.S.T. Starting capital will remain at $250K per contestant, and full margin of $25K per contract must be maintained at all times. Standard order protocol should be used when placing orders. Any disputes/discrepancies will be settled by a 3 person review committee to be named later. Contestants must be willing to assist in gathering trade data on a regular basis, although less than half will actually be assigned, to be determined by numbers from a hat. We already have 4 entries... They are Hal "the Love Pal" Eichorst, Robert Simms, Dave S., and me, The Ridah. I'd like to extend a warm welcome and invitation to all those who either think they've mastered this beast or who would like to learn how. Special invites go out to the superheroes and especially unruly characters of S.I., including the following.... No Way O.J., Groundless Hero, Fart Funeral a.k.a. Stinky Spinky, spIKE "the Bhumbo" Lafta, Willie "the crash calling factory" Hueb, Bobby Bearabulla, L. "the sticklah" G., Subcretious Tarantasauras, Donnie "CLASS president" Sew, Myth Monster, Chip McFu.. eh..McForker, Mohan O'Brien, Patrick Sleestack, StockManipulator, Tom "the tortoise" Trader and whoever else out there who wants to PROVE they got it going on!! And of course we need the reigning champ, Johnny P. in the ring to defend his belt.
LET'S GET READY TO RUMMMMBBBBBLLLLEEEEE!!
The first 12 to notify me receive the highest priority in filling the remaining spaces. The last contest's participants still have first right of refusal. The entry window will be closed on noon Friday, 9/24.
