Chip:

The first half-hour NYSE volume was 116 million. 130 million plus is breakout volume.

We could have another major failure today. However, in my opinion, the opportunity for a major advance is present but it has to be used. If it isn't in the next handful of days, we could tank more. The SPX chart is ugly. This is the time to negate it.

Maybe the second half-hour volume will be more impressive. I am looking for 220 million by 10:30. The averages, in my opinion, are showing the last day of quarter effect.
