Anthony,

<< VoiceStream could be eyeing Powertel, another GSM player >>

This words been on the street for some time. I rate it probable.

<< And if a combination with Sprint isn't realized, MCI WorldCom may make a play for VoiceStream/Aerial >>

This has been around too. I rate it possible but a long shot. But if MCI WorldCom does Sprint, then VoiceStream/Omnipoint/Aerial/Powertel become a very valuable commodity for a European entry.

There is a wild card in here also. Both BellSouth and SBC have GSM operations as well as TDMA??? Their GSM licenses are where VOAP isn't licensed??? One or the other might want to be a national rather than regional player? Fun to watch this M&A thing unfold.
