It was American International USA, AIUSA. This was approximately 8 months ago, I could be mistaken on the exact terms. It may have been $6.95, but I do recall that it was a significant discount to the unlimited access. Call around and see if you can cut a deal with a hungry ISP. Like you said, its a cutthroat business.

My point is that the niche that DR is trying to corner is incredibly small. Any power user will gravitate toward BB. A newbie with an e machine is probably tied down to that sh*tty net service contract that came with his sh*tty computer. The rest of the newbies will want the ease of use and support provided by AOL. What's left is you and Bob and whether or not you have any desire to have the phone line available for those rare times when the cable is down.

DR has admitted that a simple thing like billing is an issue. How the hell are they going to provide tech support to somebody that barely knows how to turn on their machine?
