I have a purely pragmatic, detached viewpoint...

SI suspends people not if they simply violate the Terms of Use -- otherwise people would be tossed off left and right -- but when they cross an arbitrary threshold. At one point SI felt this occurred. By the mere fact they are putting this to a vote it is obvious they now have second thoughts.

Given that SI has second thoughts about someone, who better to make the case for that someone: me, you, the next guy, or that someone? If I were the one being voted on, not to take anything away from my friends, but, hey, I'd rather be responsible for my own fate.

Accordingly, I feel that once SI has second thoughts about suspending someone, they should just let that person back on so they may assume control of their own fate.

P.S. Yes, toss off Vidrine!

P.P.S. If this thread were about fact gathering to help SI make a more informed decision then the above logic would not apply. However, by virtue of the fact this thread is a vote, I'm assuming all the "evidence" is in and inconclusive.
