Bruce,
tabula rosa??? I can tell that whatever it is, it is red.

I have not read Sun Tzu yet, so I can't do it again. But I understand your jist. I see a difference in having opinions available to oneself and exposing a community to a hostile force that can do real damage to innocent members of the community. The analogy has been made to the police. Sometimes cops will cross the line and treat innocent people like criminals or even treat criminals criminally. This doesn't mean that they haven't provided benefit to the community, but it does mean that you may want to re-evaluate their ability to perform those functions. A@P without a doubt adds value to the SI community. But do his other activities outweigh those benefits.

I have never made nor lost money because of A@P nor been engaged in any criminal activity, despite the repeated claims that anybody that does not support A@P must be a criminal or lost money because of him. What are the chances that the A@P supporters are influenced because A@P has helped to make them money???

You suggest that he would not apply the same rules to others that he expects applied to him. If this is true and I was SI management, the decision would be a slam dunk.
Jorj
