As a lurker/voter on this thread I notice that an important aspect of the Anthony debate is being overlooked. If he is to be redeemed shouldn't he first be required to perform some kind of penance for his sins against the TOS? Some may say that Anthony's time in SI jail is punishment enough. But the charges against him haven't been published so how do we know that he has been punished enough? A penance would be good for him, as well as offer comfort to those who oppose his return, thus assuring board harmony going forward.
Perhaps this is best left for committee decision, but I would like to propose the following:

1. Anthony the Penitent will spend 40 days
of prayer and fasting in the desert.

2. He will stay close to the phone booth so we
can check up on him.

3. He will subsist on a diet of cactus and one
can cream of mammal soup every other day.

That ought to do it.
