Yeah, I bought a '67 GTO in 1968 for $700.

My '57 T-Bird originally sold for $1700, I think.....a princely sum.

and in the early '60s if you were taking down over 10K a year you were kickin'.

Of course, homes were dirt cheap. One of the senators from NJ lives a few doors away....he told me he bought his house in 1962, I think, for $22,000. Several acres, swimming pool, tennis courts,

give me a break. Sure we make a heck of a lot more money now but the stuff we buy with it costs a fortune.
