Payment for order flow is where the discount broker gets payment for combining several orders for a stock and having them executed as a block. This delays submission of your individual order until a block can be formed, possibly causing you to get a less favorable price.

Sorry, I got the brokerage name wrong; its more like Aufhauser. They advertise their annual fee program on CNBC.
