Hi Tom,
With that 9000th post in sight, I have reconsidered! Everyone gets his own reply! Hoping on getting #10k on midnite, Dec. 31st...
The show Mr. Ansay was referring to is called the "Florida Money Show". It's an annual event that occurs here in Orlando at the end of January.
It's also held in Vegas, Seattle, and San Fran. Next year will be the 22nd annual here.
It's definitely not an IBD seminar. It's really like a big carnival for investors. The E-Trade bus over here....mutual fund reps. over there, companies more interested in selling their stock than their products!
I really enjoyed the CBS MarketWatch booth and a some of the others that were "net" related . They had some of those "giant" flat screen monitors with the websites up. I saw some really spiffy day-trading software, and got a chuckle at the Microstar demonstration. The lady demo'ing the software kept calling out the ticker symbols, as she had no idea in the world who those companies really were.
As usual, with events like these, the most fun was had in the lounge. We met some really interesting people and even saw a few "stars", (if you are a CNBC talking-head fan).
All in all, it was a blast. I hope Dick comes back down this year and drags you along. I'm sure it will cool off by then. I hope so. It was about 90 today, and I haven't seen a leaf turn yet!
All the info. you want to know about the "Money Show", intershow.com
I know we'll be there. Hope to see Y'all!
Best Wishes, Bill
ps. I see it's being held at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort this year. |
