Pete, WCOM has been making a number of small acquisitions in Europe and Asia (ISPs and the like). Until they've finished acquiring in the the US, I can't see Ebbers making any blockbuster acquisitions in Europe. C&W? It should be a crown jewel for someone. It owns some good assets overseas (including a majority interest in HK Telecom).

As for VSTR, I've bought in the low 60's and sold last week; would buy again if it corrects to a reasonable level: mid to low 70's. I'm watching how Hutchison is going to spend the money they are getting from Manneshann for its sale of the Orange stake. I'm looking at MFNX as well, have been looking too long, in fact. Own GBLX already, don't expect much to happen short term, but as with WCOM and NXTL (both of which I've owned for at least 6 years), long term it should bring some great gains.

Regards.

Anthony
