Hi Steve, I didn't know that bit of lore! Thanks!

This is a note I received from fellow AIMer, Robert Gammon. He's going to be joining the SI group soon.

Hi Tom,
Since 1/29/1999, when I began running my TXN AIM in a brokerage account instead of the TI 401(k),
1. I have purchased a net of 1 share. Yes, ONE share.

2. The net sum of all transactions has been to generate over $42,000 in cash.

Sooooo, I bought 1 share and I got PAID for the priviledge with over $42,000!!!!

Now, wouldn't it be nice to do this once a week, once a month, twice a year, any of these would suit me just fine.

AIMing,
Robert Gammon

RG was busy selling for most of 1999 and then doing some serious buying in recent times with TXN. Interesting that he's increased cash so much and now has essentially the same number of shares available as when he started! Isn't AIM interesting?

Here's some ideas for our AIM logo:

OPULENTIA CAUTIM (wealth with security)

PRAESTO ORDINATIM (to excel regularly)

REMEMDIUM - METUS ET AVARICE (cure - fear and greed)

Here's the site where I did my translations (for those of you interested in creating your own latin expressions):
sunsite.ubc.ca
Here's one I just made up:
Jeffrey Dahmer - latin translation = rectum collectum
