To use Remote Access to Call Forwarding:

1. Call your access number (you get this number when you order the service --
if you don't remember it, call the business office or repair center).
2.Listen to the instructions.
3.At the prompt, enter the phone number from where you want calls forwarded.
4.Enter your personal identification number.
5.Follow the directions for turning on or off Call Forwarding.

Pretty complex mess of stuff that has to happen and any number of conditions could confuse it - even in real life situations where you're just using it as originally intended. Sporadic noise on the phone line, unexpected glitches at the ISP or the telco - even improperly disconnecting from the internet as must be done when your browser or Windows crashes could possibly cause a problem in rare situations.

Umpteeen zillion employees at Microsoft and after all these years we're still seeing service packs for Windows NT v4.0. The latest "bug fixes" came out in SP6 yet there's going to have to be a SP7 as SP6 itself has (now) known bugs just as SP2 and SP4 had.

You want perfection? Revert back to pencil and paper, at least that way the only thing to blame is yourself.

BTW: That previous item wasn't a press release, just an item from a CTI newsletter.
