Colleen...... Well my idea will not work because as Leroyt pointed out and is was confirmed by my accountant the 30 day wash rule also says you have to buy the shares 30 days before you sell to take the loss. Hypothetically I could buy BNEZ shares today and sell my original shares before 12/31 to take my loss. I decided not to do that do to lack of information available(too many other pennies I track and want to buy) on BNEZ and I need the write-off. To make my taxes easier due to a lot of trading I follow the first in first out rule. Lakers
