Very inspiring, Tom. I enjoyed reading this posting very much, and echo all that you say here. You sound a lot like me! (My wife would say that she now feels sorry for you, but let's leave that for another time!).

Regarding turkeys, for the last I don't know how many years, my wife and I would inject the bird with cooking wine. I would bring some endodontic syringes home from the office, fill up the barrel chambers with the wine, and use the large bore needle to inject every part of the turkey. We would use a pretty good volume of wine, about a cup, and it would take us about 20 minutes. Then, we just popped the bird into the oven as per directions. The family would be amazed at how tasty and juicy the turkey would be, and we remained tight-lipped about it until recently.

Sincerely,
RFH
