yo tomasso-it was a an inspiring post. every year when you recant your turkey preperation, my mouth waters. wasn't their talk a few years ago about an AIM cookbook? i, like you, take special pleasure in thanksgiving as it is a time to reflect with family about the pleasures ones life has brought them. my oldest living relative will be driving up from san diego today to spend the day with us and that's special. uncle harry is 87 years young with the heart of a lion. there had been talk in family circles years ago that harry was actually my father as he always had (still has) a "roving " eye. "dad" was away in boot camp the fall i was conceived, only getting home from texas where he was stationed to rhode island very infrequently. mom was a looker, harry is the oldest of four children, dad was the youngest, their was no love lost between them and i do physically resemble him a lot more than i did my dad. talked to his daughter, my "cousin" or step sister about this a couple of years ago and we had a good laugh realizing it could be possible. at this stage of my life, with "dad" dead now for almost 6 years it really is only something to chuckle about. anyways, your comment about the "lucky sperm club" got me to thinking of this. i guess just about all of us on the AIM thread would consider ourselves charter members. maybe we should change the name of our las vegas meeting, of course, AIMing and lucky sperm may give the wrong message. then again, maybe not! hope everyone has a great holiday weekend. health and happiness to you all. steve |
