How about an Electron Strip to keep dust off my monitor? It would have the advantage over conductive coatings that it could be stepped up to generator mode when desired (e.g. for stress reduction). I believe that the low electron affinity depends on having a high percentage of bonds that are diamond-like (sp3) rather than graphitic (sp2). If so, which was not the case with earlier hard carbon films, then like diamond, the film will be a good emitter at low extraction fields. WT
