Are LED's used to light FPD's currently? In the future?? not that I am aware of. But that is clearly a target application for the future. CDT will be displaying a technology along with Seiko Epson at this year's International Electron Devices Meeting (IEDM) in Washington DC this December. It was mentioned in Electronic Times in September.
