Bob First thought is that particular brokerage does not want to work with small investors. I do not use an online broker for my futures trading for a few reasons. 1. I wanted a brokerage with a strong background and solid reputation. 2. I wanted someone to talk to me when I had questions regarding procedure as I am new to futures trading. 3. Reliability of phone over net. 4. When I want to get out of office I have someone to call who I can trust to tell me like it is. 5. If I want to know why something suddenly surged I can get the word on the floor. What I miss out by using phone broker: 1. Speed of execution ht david edit: I also like the fact that my brokers know me by name. I dont even need to tell them who I am when I call in anymore... they know my voice. Something real cool about that.
