Yes, I agree.

After some questionaires I got ahold of the Pru report. Very informative. There are some materials issues I need to do some homework on. It is my understanding that SiC and sapphire are just the substrates that they grow GaN diodes on. SiC is the best because it's crystal lattice is the closest match to GaN (same with thermal expansion). I need to find a data sheet on SiC for thermal and electrical conduction among other things. Maybe at the Cree website.
