Correction: CyberDisplay uses LEDs flashed in sequence.

No color filters. That was only used for their LCD SmartSlide which they made before blue emissive elements became available. At that point they switched to Emissive SmartSlide which has morphed into CyberDisplay. At least one reflective microdisplay manufacturer, Colorado MicroDisplay, also uses R,G,B LED illumination. To do field sequential color, the display must be capable of a high refresh rate, 180 Hz or greater, so that each of the three color subimages can be flashed at 60 Hz.
