Jennifer McNaughton, Mytec was on Metro Morning, this morning, (CBC Radio 1) discussing Mytec and Touchstone as it relates to debit cards and ATMs. I don't believe that this one reference is going to breakout MYT, but the product should still be considered by financial institutions. CIBC who has the largest network of ATMs in Canada already uses Touchstone as a entry security system, this would serve as a testing ground for ATMs. Another point of interest is that I believe ATMs will be undergoing an evolution over the next few years where they add kiosk capabilities, this would be the ideal time to implement biometric security ID. In practice ATMs and debit machines will evolve to be configured for both PIN and biometric scanning. The above is my vision, no insight and currently am hitting a less than stellar average. Ian A.
