Buy low and sell high is certainly the only possible way to beat the market. AIM does achieve that. My methods accomplish the same thing (buy low, sell high), but by identifying the turning points. And, my method is very cautious, in that it forces me to jump out of the market at the least sign of trouble. Not all that convenient for most investors.

But, yes, it was a great year if you were in the NASDAQ all year. From now to the end of the year I'd expect further rises, maybe a profit-taking dip on Y2K worries just before the New Year, then a resumption after Y2K passes relatively uneventfully. But, at some point the market will have to face the Fed's next increase, which is inevitable given the continuing tumble in bonds.

What does your bond/stock valuation indicator show now? They're diverging incredibly!
