August,
Here is the PM that I presume was sent to all SI members this past Friday by BryanB. In it he explains how to simulate Classic while on the new SI. While not an exact, precise match, it is fairly close. I continue to use Classic until the day it no longer works.

Dear Silicon Investor Member:
As I mentioned in my last announcement, the SI engineering team has been working hard to deal with and resolve our recent growing pains. I wanted to give you all an update on where we stand.
The engineers have laid out an excellent plan that ultimately involves moving SI to a next-generation infrastructure, including "bigger iron," which we expect will result in the zippiest SI ever. Internally, we're calling it Project RoadRunner. "Beep, Beep." This project involves a number of steps that should result in improved stability and performance along the way. We will, of course, continue to implement this plan as quickly as possible.
One of the clogs in the current system happens to be the old Silicon Investor servers, which continue to be a resource drain across the board. In fact, shutting down the old SI is a critical prerequisite to Project RoadRunner. We know that some of you are still using the old SI, and we made a promise that we would not shut down the old SI until we had developed a Classic SI Customization Option that would mimic the Classic SI look and feel within SI's StockTalk section. So, if you are interested in utilizing the Classic SI Customization Option, please read on.
We have completed and launched a Beta version of the Classic SI Customization Option feature, and we encourage you to have a look at it as quickly as possible.
Here's how it works...
1. Go to Silicon Investor at siliconinvestor.com and log in. 2. Click on Customize and then click on Options. 3. On the Options Customization screen, you will see an option to view StockTalk in the Classic SI format. Click on the "Yes" radio button. For the closest match to the Classic SI look and feel, you should also select "Yes" for the option to display StockTalk messages with a border. 4. Your forums, subjects, posts and message center will now be displayed with a Classic SI wrapper. In fact, we also went ahead and added the Classic SI wrapper to the Portfolio section as well (even though that wasn't part of the original plan). 5. Speaking of portfolios, if you have created or modified any portfolios on the old SI since Aug. 6, you will need to migrate these to the new SI, which is a simple process. To do so, go to the appropriate portfolio on the old site and click on the link "Click here to migrate your portfolios to the new SI". Then, simply follow the instructions on the screen. If you are not logged into the new site, you will be prompted to do so.
Please note:
We will be turning off the old SI as quickly as possible to remove it as a resource drain. We've created a thread for you to comment on the Classic SI Customization Option, and we look forward to your feedback.

Thanks,

PS: As an FYI, we are planning a 15- to 30-minute outage for Silicon Investor on Sunday morning at 3 a.m. EST. We will be shifting some servers around. In the future, we will develop a more effective means of communicating such planned outages to the entire community.
